CT International Academy
Policies & Guidelines
Effective Date: August 2026
At CT International Academy, we are committed to providing a professional, respectful, safe, and high-quality online learning environment. These policies are designed to establish clear expectations for students, parents or guardians, instructors, and the Academy.
By registering for or participating in an Academy program, students and/or their parent or legal guardian acknowledge and agree to the applicable policies below.
1. Enrollment & Registration Policy
Enrollment is subject to program availability and completion of the required registration process.
Students may be asked to complete a placement assessment, questionnaire, video submission, consultation, or other evaluation before being assigned to an appropriate course or proficiency level.
Providing accurate information during registration helps the Academy determine appropriate placement and services.
For students under 18, registration should be completed or authorized by a parent or legal guardian.
2. Tuition & Payment Policy
Program tuition and applicable fees must be paid according to the payment schedule presented during registration or checkout.
When advance payment is required, enrollment or class booking is not considered confirmed until the required payment has been successfully received.
Students enrolled in recurring monthly plans are responsible for payments according to the terms displayed when purchasing the plan.
CT International Academy reserves the right to suspend access to classes or services when required payments are overdue or unsuccessful.
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Students should submit cancellation or rescheduling requests at least 48 hours before the scheduled class or service.
Late cancellations or missed sessions may be considered used and may not qualify for a credit, rescheduling, or refund, except where otherwise required by applicable law or expressly approved by the Academy.
If CT International Academy or an instructor must cancel a scheduled class, the Academy will make reasonable efforts to provide a replacement session, reschedule the class, or provide another appropriate solution.
4. Refund Policy
Refund eligibility depends on the program, service, payment plan, and circumstances of the request.
Any applicable refund terms presented during registration, checkout, or purchase form part of the student's enrollment terms.
Once educational services, classes, digital resources, assessments, or other program benefits have been provided or accessed, payments may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by applicable law.
CT International Academy reserves the right to review exceptional circumstances individually.
5. Attendance & Punctuality
Students are expected to attend scheduled classes regularly and join sessions on time.
Consistent attendance is important for academic progress, particularly in structured language programs.
Students or parents should notify the Academy as soon as reasonably possible when a student will be unable to attend.
Repeated absences or lateness may affect the student's progress and ability to complete the program successfully.
6. Online Learning & Technology
Students are responsible for maintaining a suitable internet connection and compatible device for participation in online classes.
Students should join classes from an appropriate learning environment and follow the instructor's directions regarding microphones, cameras, online learning platforms, assignments, and digital classroom tools.
CT International Academy is not responsible for interruptions caused by a student's personal device, internet provider, or other technology outside the Academy's reasonable control.
17. Policy Updates
CT International Academy may revise these policies periodically to reflect changes in programs, operations, technology, or legal requirements.
The current version will be published on the Academy's website with an updated effective date when appropriate.

Harassment, bullying, discrimination, threats, abusive language, deliberate disruption, academic dishonesty, or inappropriate online behavior will not be tolerated.
Serious or repeated violations may result in removal from a class or program, suspension of services, or termination of enrollment, subject to applicable law and Academy procedures.
8. Parent & Guardian Responsibilities
Parents or legal guardians of minor students are responsible for providing accurate registration information and appropriate authorization for their child's participation.
Parents and guardians should help ensure that minor students have an appropriate and safe environment for online learning and understand the Academy's attendance, conduct, technology, and academic expectations.
The Academy may communicate with the parent or guardian regarding a minor student's attendance, academic progress, behavior, scheduling, or other matters related to the student's educational services.
9. Children's Privacy & Online Safety
CT International Academy takes children's privacy and online safety seriously.
For younger students, the Academy may require a parent or legal guardian to complete registration, provide consent, and manage communications with the Academy.
Where applicable, CT International Academy will take appropriate steps to comply with children's privacy requirements, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable privacy laws.
Children should not independently submit personal information when parental consent is required.
10. Privacy & Student Information
CT International Academy may collect information reasonably necessary to provide educational and administrative services, including registration details, contact information, learning goals, assessment information, submitted assignments, placement materials, payment-related information, and communications.
Information may be used for purposes such as enrollment, placement, scheduling, instruction, student support, payment administration, communications, and improving Academy services.
The Academy seeks to handle personal information responsibly and uses third-party service providers where necessary to operate its website, communications, payments, scheduling, and online educational services.
Additional details may be provided in the Academy's Privacy Policy.
11. Photos, Videos & Class Recordings
Students, parents, and guardians may not record, photograph, copy, publish, or distribute classes or other participants without authorization from CT International Academy and any additional consent required by law.
If the Academy intends to record a class or use a student's image, voice, testimonial, work, or video for promotional or marketing purposes, appropriate notice and consent will be obtained where required.
Participation in a program does not automatically constitute permission for marketing use of a student's image or recording.
12. Academic Materials & Intellectual Property
Course materials, worksheets, presentations, videos, assessments, curriculum materials, graphics, and other educational resources provided by CT International Academy or its instructors are intended for authorized educational use.
Unless otherwise permitted, students may not reproduce, sell, publicly distribute, upload, publish, or commercially use Academy materials without prior authorization.
Third-party materials remain subject to the rights and terms of their respective owners.
13. Academic Placement & Progress
Placement decisions may be based on assessments, submitted videos, interviews, prior learning experience, instructor observations, or other appropriate academic criteria.
The Academy may recommend moving a student to a different level when it believes another class or program would better support the student's learning.
Academic progress varies by student. CT International Academy does not guarantee a particular level of proficiency, grade, examination result, or learning outcome within a specific period.
14. Communication Policy
Official communications may be sent using the contact information provided during registration.
Students and parents are responsible for keeping their contact information current and reviewing important Academy communications regarding classes, schedules, payments, policies, and program updates.
15. Schedule & Instructor Changes
CT International Academy may make reasonable changes to instructors, schedules, class arrangements, learning platforms, or program structure when necessary for operational or educational purposes.
When a significant change affects an enrolled student's scheduled services, the Academy will make reasonable efforts to provide appropriate notice.
16. Suspension or Termination of Enrollment
CT International Academy reserves the right, consistent with applicable law, to suspend or terminate participation for serious or repeated violations of Academy policies, nonpayment, unsafe or abusive conduct, misuse of Academy services, or conduct that materially interferes with the learning environment.
Where appropriate, the Academy may first communicate concerns and provide an opportunity for correction.
